Text: Ex.20:21
After the God of Israel had released the commandments with terrific manifestations, the people of Israel feared drew back and requested that Moses would hear from Him and relay the messages to them. Moses informed them that the fearful manifestation was to create awareness of Whom they were following, lest they take His word for granted and offend Him, and get destroyed.
Now, while the people stayed at a distance within their boundaries, Moses proceeded unto the thick darkness where God was.
This act of Moses is symbolic of the uncommon openings, opportunities, that will be at the command of the believing while many are living in lack ( Rev.3:8 ).
During the LEAP Declaration on 17.07.2019, we were informed that we have entered an era called the Day of the Lord proper during which
multitudes will leap over those hitherto stubborn obstacles and into their expected ends;
outstanding blessings must be realized, so the joy of faith could be fulfilled as promised, and
every line of the Holy Scriptures will be proven true to the letter, and to be working wonders.
Young
David refused to be limited by the conventional fear of others – the stupefying stature and stupendous experience of the Philistine champion. He broke through the barriers of common sense and got the garland of the giant’s head (1Sam.17:4,8-9,16,28-32). His success was predicated on his knowledge of the superlative superiority of the God of Israel and His word over the gods of the nations and their champions (1Sam.17:42-50, Ps.33:12-19, Ps.147:7-11, Dan.11:32).
The prophetess
Deborah did not allow her gender to determine her usability, she knew her God and His deposit in her life – the anointing, and so confidently judged the nation of Israel (Judg.4:4-10). The apostles were not limited by the lack of conventional education (Acts 4:13)
Both David and Deborah had both faith in God and fear of God. Fear of God described as the beginning of wisdom, endears one to Him, and attracts His favour (Pro.9:10). While faith in God thrills Him and gives access to the portals of His unrivaled power (Heb.11:6, Mk.11:22-24).
True faith in God goes together with the fear of God, for faith in God is a product of the knowledge of God’s Person, and anyone that truly knows God will have a deep reverence for Him (Heb.11:6 )
Those that fear God know about His terror and so strive to please Him (2Cor.5:11, Jer.9:23,24, Pro.9:10 )
At such time of God’s power, one must fear the Lord, keep away from sin and get emboldened to step into uncommon territories both in the physical and spiritual realms of life, as the windows of opportunity open (Pro.28:1, Ex.20:21). The Lord is interested in making His people to behead (Deut.28:8-19/3, Matt.3:11,12).
Let’s rise to declare our decisions.
