CHARISMATIC HOUR (04/05/21) Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement Topic:             PRAYING THROUGH ON BENDED KNEES   Texts:             James 5:17-18; 1Kgs. 17:17-23, 41-45; 19:9-18   As we emerge from the first fruit exercise which started on Saturday having given to the Lord this level of sacrifice these past three days, we need to be reminded that God is not unrighteous not to keep to His promises.   Many promises made us by the LORD and declarations pronounced on us through servants of God, are yet to be realized by many.  As a result, some questions in their minds as to  whether those promises are actually from the LORD.  Today, the LORD is revealing why many pronouncements and declarations from Him and by His true servants are yet to come into manifestation, and the simply course to their realization.  Simply put, He wants us to always stay down on our knees until we pray through. (Lk 18:7-8; 11:9-13; Isa. 62:6-7). As we consider the following points and practice them, the promised/pronounced/ desired blessings will be ours in Jesus name. (Joshua 1:8; Matt. 7:24-25).
  1. Staying Down On Our knees Explained With Implications (Lk. 18:7-8; 11:9-13; Isaiah 62:6-7; 1Kgs. 12:21-23). Staying down on our knees signifies a period of determined waiting on the Lord expectantly through prayers without distractions.  It is a time when a man (body, soul and spirit) is seriously focused unto the Lord because of his needs and trust in the LORD.
This can only be where there is really some heartache/need.  It is a sign of having real need, being thirsty/hungry for something.  People in this state pay rapt attention when the Lord speaks on the way to quenching their thirst.  They do not sleep nor doze-off at fellowships because they are looking for something.  They follow the Lord’s words to know what to answer Him at the end of the message. Because they believe Him, they expectantly wait on Him.  They are never offended with God’s truth, even when the truth reproves them.  (Matt. 15:21-25).
  1. Praying Through (James 5:17-18). Because of their thirst / determination to have their needs attended to, they persist fervently in prayers until they are convinced that the LORD has answered them.  They are really broken while making their request with such a pathos and arguments that cannot be overlooked by the Lord.  They tarry long in the presence of the LORD until they pray through.
In the bible days, men like Moses, Joshua, Abraham, Hannah, Samuel, Daniel, Elijah the Apostles etc. tarried in prayers to have all their needs met by the LORD (Exo.5:21-23, Gen.18:23-26, Jos.7:5-8, 1Sam.1:1-2,4-11). Our country is going through a terrible time of instability with the associated phenomenon of the survival of the fittest and all manner of atrocities. We must stay down on our knees to have the pronouncement of the Lord and our desired idyllic blessings granted (2Tim.3:1-5, Eph.6:12-13, Ps.67:2).   You can decide now to stay down on your knees until you pray through.   Let us call upon the LORD now fervently if we are really in need.   (HSCF 237, 231)
