WATCHMAN CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC RENEWAL MOVEMENT
FIRST FRUIT FASTING FELLOWSHIP (SEPT. 2021 EDITION) Day 2
Theme: WHEN BLOOD TOUCHES BLOOD Text: Hos. 4:1-3 Topic: ISRAEL IS NOT EGYPT Sub-text: Exo.8:22-24, 9:22-26 INTRODUCTION:In the introductory session yesterday, it was explained that the phrase “blood toucheth blood” refers to the high rate of bloodshed as if saying while a victim’s blood is yet flowing another’s own commences; and on and on. This picture fits the state of our country today. We showed that blood carries the life of a creature and is considered sacred – it is not to be consumed orally but used for sacrifice (Acts 15:20). It was further shown that the shedding of innocent blood or killing of someone that is not worthy of death is very offensive to the Lord as it pollutes the land and attracts divine retribution, hence the stringent measures put in place to deter it (cons. Gen.4:9-13, Deut.21:1-9, cp 2Sam.21:1-6).
The present state of the nation is, without doubt, the manifestation of God’s judgement upon a rebellious and ungrateful people (Jer.6:10-16, 7:16).
But we cannot keep mute or just keep saying it is God’s judgement, and do nothing since we dwell in the country. We must use the divine facilities available to “guide” the finger of God to His expected target (Isa.45:11).
The guiding of God’s finger to the appropriate target is done through making the appropriate scriptural argument (Gen.18:20-23, 24-33, Isa.41:21).
Our Argument
- The righteous God does not subject the righteous to the judgement of the unrighteous (Gen.18:23)
- The Lord always makes a difference between His people and others in blessing
and in chastisement/judgement (Gen. Exo.11:2-8)
- The Lord so values His people that He does substitute their lives with others (Isa.43:3, Exo.3:20-22, 4:23)
The watchman should not suffer what the ungodly are suffering, and should not allow the foundations (purposes) of the nation to be destroyed (Ps.11:3).
PRAYER POINTS HSCF
■ (Hos.4:16) – Let us thank the Lord for the privilege of accessing His presence. Now thank Him for every other blessing.
■ (Jug.6:2-6,11, Ps.2:1-4) – There are people that have systematically impoverished others over the years. They are currently terrorizing every section of the nation: kidnapping and murdering. Let us ask the Lord to arise and smother them.
■ (Ps.37:9-10,12-15) – Let us pray against all those that are using their position/of o authority to give advantage to the invaders: let’s ask the Lord to reward them appropriately (Gal.6:7).
■ (Prov.19:21, Isa.10:1, 8:10) – Let us pray for the abortion of any program that is intended to be national which will demand allegiance and execution of the disloyal/ non-compliant: whether it be political or religious or medical. Pray that the Almighty will show that He knows how to humble the arrogant.
■ (Isa.9:11) – Let us pray that the nations of the world will be disgusted with and murder in our country.
■ (Isa.8:18, Eph.6:8) – Pray for the preservation of believers especially those in the volatile areas at this time.
■ Personal prayers and thanksgiving
