WATCHMAN CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC RENEWAL MOVEMENT FIRST FRUIT FASTING FELLWOSHIP (DEC. 2022 EDITION) Day 3

Theme:           HARVESTING AND HARNESSING THE HERITAGE Texts:             Ex. 6:8; Ps. 61:5, 111:5-6, Acts 20:29-32

We have seen the necessity of identifying and utilizing our inheritance/birthright which are divine instruments for sustenance and betterment of human life.

From The Haggle over heritage, we saw the advantage of the birthright with the attendant blessings as deduced from the phenomena of Esau, Reuben and Pharez (Heb. 12:16, 1 Chro. 5:1). Then, we proceeded to harvesting the heritage of the heathen, which has to do with gathering in or obtaining the resources being enjoyed by people. This is done by following the revealed principles of God (in His word) and trusting in His faithfulness for the kingdom’s sake (Ps. 24:1, 50:10, Prov. 10:22, 3 Jn. 2). We concluded with accepting and aligning with the divine arrangement for wealth transfer for the kingdom’s sake (Judg. 6:12-14, Ps. 111:5, 6, Isa. 45:3).

Today, we shall look at

Topic:         Harnessing The Heavenly Heritage  Subtexts:   Acts 20:31-33, 26:15-18, 1Pt. 1:3-5

To harness means to control and utilize or make use of .

In our texts: Apostle Paul mentioned the acquisition of an inheritance among the sanctified through the agency of the Word (of His grace); and the Lord Jesus spoke of using the called apostle to usher the gentiles into an inheritance among the sanctified by faith that is in Him, which thing the apostle pursued in life. And the apostle, Peter wrote of being begotten into a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus into an incorruptible inheritance /heritage that cannot fade.

Now, ‘heavenly heritage’ which is the inheritance of the sanctified (unto God) is of broad spectrum: consisting primarily of incorruptible resources and secondarily of physical resources (1Pt. 1:4, Matt.6:33, Mk. 10:28-30 ct Lk. 12:13-15).

Apostle Paul prayed for the illumination of the Ephesian Christians to understand and cherish the glorious inheritance of the saints (Eph. 1:16,18).

The glorious inheritance is numerous and mostly refers to the reward of discipleship, covering: Eternal Life (Matt. 19:29, Jn. 10:10, Tit. 3:7), Authority of the kingdom (Matt. 25:34, 5:5, Jer. 2:5), Holy Spirit (Eph. 1:13-14), Heirship (Rom. 8:17, 1 Cor. 6:3, Eph. 3:6, Rev. 21:6-7), and the dividends of Calvary, plus the provisions of the new covenant (2 Cor. 8:9, Heb. 9:15, 8:6), divine preservation (Isa. 54:17; Ps. 105:14–15) etc.

It must be noted that there is no evil inheritance from the Lord (Ezk. 18:1-2, 14–21).

Access to these unquantifiable resources and royal placement is by FAITH (Rom. 10:10-13, Heb. 11:6,1, 10:36,38).

True or living faith goes with believing, speaking, and acting rightly in agreement with the living word (Jas.2:20-22,26).
