This message was given by a direct revelation of God while the last three messages to complete the write up were being sought.
The Charismatic Hour message shall come under three points: (A)
The Ardour Of The City and Admiration Of The Lord (B)
The Attack Of The Kings and Their Arrest By The Lord (C)
The Adoration Of God and Allegiance For Life.
(A) THE ARDOUR OF THE CITY AND ADMIRATION OF THE LORD (v. 1-3)
While worshipping the Lord, the sons of Korah pointed to the beauty of the city of Zion, the place that houses the Lord which is holy and should be admired. (Ps. 87:2, 74:2, Isa. 8:18) The king was also installed in Zion (Ps. 2:6). Zion is a place of deliverance (Obad. 17).
In like manner, our place of worship should be seen as Zion and admired and kept holy (Heb.12:22, Ps. 87:2).
Effort must be made to keep it undefiled so that it can serve as the place of deliverance that it’s meant to be.
The Lord (Adonai) in the Old Testament was used for Jehovah, but the New Testament uses that title for the Express Image of Jehovah (Jn. 14:7,9,1 Cor. 8:6, Heb, 1:3) Any person that has appropriate the sacrifice of Calvary ought to so love the Lord that he would worship Him deeply at every opportunity (2 Cor. 5:15) Again, when one is set free from sin, divine life is received, and prosperity ensues; the kings of the earth will always react to attack.
(B) THE ATTACK OF THE KINGS AND THEIR ARREST BY THE LORD (v. 4-7)
Satan and his cohorts will not sit complacently to watch their former slave prosper in grace; rather they will deploy all their machinery to drag him back to bondage. (Cons. Ex. 14:5-15)
It should be noted that this diabolic pursuit persists so long as the pilgrim is mortal. The adversaries may attack directly or use their human agents where necessary to make the elect miserable. Sickness and diseases, miscarriages, misfortune and deaths are all instruments of the warfare (Job 1:6-22, 2:1-10, Eph. 6:12). Misunderstanding in homes, work places, church may be demonically induced.
These devils were described as kings and princes (Dan. 10:13, 20, Jn. 14:30, 12:31). However, the revelation of truth shows that the Lord arrested them and frustrated their counsel. (Ps. 48:7) The Lord is also always available to frustrate the tokens of the devils (cons. 1 Cor. 10:15, Rom. 8:28, Isa. 54:17)
(C) THE ADORATION OF GOD AND ALLEGIANCE FOR LIFE (Ps. 48:8-14)
Pointing to the development that was in consonance with the revealed mind of God, the writers appreciated the Lord and called on God’s privileged people to rejoice and testify; and keep records of the testimonies for the coming generations.
Even so should watchmen appreciate and worship the Lord for His doings and dealings with us; keep the records and publish them to those that care to hear (to the glory of God)
All watchmen and friends of the ministry must resolve to pledge allegiance to the Lord (Phil. 1:21,23). As we pledge our allegiance, pray and worship, the works of the kings and princes of darkness shall be neutralized or broken, in Jesus name.
Let’s rise to pledge our allegiance and commitment to the gospel: for this God is our God.
