As a Rock, He is a sure defence or stronghold, and so security is guaranteed in Him; and success will ultimately follow those who are embedded in Him and comply with His directives. He was the smitten Rock that gave out water that refreshed the thirsty emigrants.   In this Charismatic Hour, we shall see the Great Friend from heaven as the Lion of the tribe of Judah.   We shall see (A) The Characteristics of Lions (B) The Christ, The Lion of the Tribe of Judah.   (A)   THE CHARACTERISTICS OF LIONS   The lion is a predator of the cat family known for its strength (Judg. 14:18) and bravery/courage (Prov. 30:30, 28:1, Isa. 38:13). They are the only cats that live in groups. The lion is protective of its family (Isa. 31:4). They are sentient creatures, they are distinguished by their terrifying roar (Isa. 5:29). The powerful creature is a symbol of majesty, strength, courage and justice. The lion was a sign of the tribe of Judah (Gen. 49:8,9)   (B) THE CHRIST, THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH   The Lord Jesus is the Christ (Matt. 16:16). During His first advent, He possessed all the symbols of a lion viz majesty, strength, courage and justice: preserving His own (Jn. 1:14-16, 17:12) and gave the key to harmonious communal relationship viz love (Jn. 13:34,35, 1 Cor. 13:1-4, 1 Pt. 4:8, Heb. 1:3, 1 Jn. 4:8,16).   However, He opted to manifest as a LAMB inorder to fulfill the purpose of His advent – paying for man’s redemption and destroying the works of darkness (Isa. 53:7, Jn. 1:29,36, 1 Pt. 2:23-25, 1 Jn. 3:8).   Though He is still addressed as the Lamb of God when reference is being made of His eternal redemptive work, however, He is better positioned as a Lion, hence the heavenly elder’s revelation of His ability to open the seal that no man could (Rev. 5:5).   It is worthy of note that it is in this LION-MODE that He deals with all creatures that resist His authority (Acts 9:1-5, 26:4). While the dispensation of grace lingers, His patience and forbearance keeps His judgment against salvable men at bay (Lk. 18:7).   However, a member of the household (family) of God can call upon the Lion for immediate intervention (Ps. 2:1 -5, Acts 4:21-28). It should be noted that all the challenges that come in the way of a citizen of the kingdom were permitted to take him/her to higher realms/levels of grace, knowledge, authority, power etc (Rom. 5:3-5, 1 Cor. 10:13, Phil. 1:12). Howbeit, there is a time for everything.   We are in the time of liberation from the shackles of the wicked, so invite the Lion to roar in your situation: for He is positioned to do what no creature can do (Rev. 5:5).   All those that feel that their destinies have been tampered with, invite Him to roar in the spirit world, break your chains and release you from your yokes.   Let’s rise to pray.
