Theme: UNVEILING AND UNEARTHING THE UNTAPPED RESOURCES
Texts: Gen. 1:27-28, 2:8-12; Pro. 25:2; Eccl. 8:17; Jn. 1:15-16
As we bask in the abundant grace delivered through the 21- days’ fasting exercise, it is expedient to remind all that there is no provision for standing at a point or stagnation in the kingdom, for whosoever stops advancing starts retrogressing because of the antagonistic activities of the enemy that is envious of the favour enjoyed by God’s children (Gen. 3:1-5; 2Cor. 11:3).
So the only acceptable mode is that of advancement or growth as taught by the Lord Jesus (Matt. 5:6) and exemplified by Apostle Paul (Phil. 3:10-16).
The source of growth is ever present to attend to the seeker of increase (Ps. 46:1-3; Isa. 41:17; 1Cor. 3:6)
It is common knowledge that knowledge is the subtracts of growth/increase (Prov. 24:3-5) and so any believer that desires to grow in spiritual health must seek knowledge (2Pt. 1:2-5).
In this March Edition of the First Fruit Fasting Fellowship, we shall be considering:
(A) ANALYSIS OF UNTAPPED RESOURCES (B)
AMASSING THE UNTAPPED RESOURCES (C) ADVANCING AND ATTAINING HEIGHT WITH THE RESOURCES.
- ANALYSIS OF UNTAPPED RESOURCES
Analysis is the act of studying or examining something inorder to discover or understand more about it.
In the secular, “RESOURCES ” means, wealth, supplies of goods, raw materials, etc, which a person or a country has and can be drawn inorder to function effectively. In this country, we have many natural resources, eg. Coal, crude oil, gold, iron ore, precious stones, tin, zinc, lime, timber, water power, arable/fertile lands, etc. Most of these resources are buried
below the earth’s crust, and are being exploited. (Gen. 2:8-12,15)
As we have these natural resources buried in the earth, so we have SPIRITUAL RESOURCES buried in the Lord God. These are, in other words called, “the attributes of God, eg. God’s love, wisdom, lordship and power, mercy, compassion, grace, longsuffering/patience, goodness, holiness, truth, justice, etc. All these attributes (resources) have remained untapped by millions of people hitherto, and minutely tapped by some thousands who are His. In this March programme, the spiritual resources we shall be considering God’s mercy, God’s goodness.
THE NATURE OF GOD’S RESOURCES – GENERALLY
Generally, these resources (attributes) in God are qualified thus:-
abundant (Exo. 34:6);
of unfathomable depth (Rom. 11:33);
unsearchable (Rom. 11:33);
past finding out (Rom. 11:33). They can be likened to the large bodies of water like rivers or oceans, from which multitudes draw, yet the level of water remains the same. This truth is illustrated by the Lord’s miracle of feeding thousands of people with five loaves and two fishes (Jn. 6:5- 13; Lk. 9:11-17). The five loaves and two fishes were passed around, and as each person took his share, the size of the bread and fish did not diminish until all were satisfied. This truth also reflects in the disposition of God’s Spirit . Each one of ten of thousands of born again people of the world have a measure of God’s Spirit (Eph. 1:13; 2Cor. 5:5), yet the Holy Spirit is not emaciated, depleted or finished.
