We saw that the people of God are expected to be trailblazers who that positively affect their generation. These are eagerly being awaited by creation (Rom. 8:19), such as golden people with golden vision, golden hearts, and golden tongues.   We explained that golden vision has to do with mental perception of eternal things; reality of heaven and blessedness of saintliness (Lk. 16:9-15, Eph. 1:17-19, Col. 3:1-3). This mental sight tailors the visioner’s life to conform to the essentials required for its realization.   Today, we shall be considering:   Topic: SAINTS OF GOLDEN HEARTS Subtexts: Gen. 50:15-21; Neh. 1:1-4; Matt. 9:36, 14:14   Simply stated, a ‘heart of gold’ is a good and kind nature.   From our subtexts, Joseph did not hold onto the wickedness of his siblings but was rather generous to them; Nehemiah, though dwelling in the comfortable Emperor’s palace, yet was bothered about the dilapidated state of his people. And the Lord Jesus expressed compassion whenever He saw the needy. Now, it must be noted that the Church ready for the rapture (or glorious Church) is a Church of saints that are golden-hearted (Eph. 5:27).   In God’s kingdom, those that make lasting impact are the golden hearted. The golden hearted are kind, courteous, considerate, compassionate, courageous, magnanimous, as always demonstrated by the Lord.   There is a grace that makes this expression possible amidst the pervading wickedness in the present-day society; it is the essential nature of the Lord called Love (Jn. 3:16, 14:6-10, Col. 1:15, 1 Jn. 4:8,16).   Jesus commanded His disciples to express His divine affection to one another as a chief characteristic of discipleship (Jn. 13:34,35, cp. 1 Jn. 3:16).   At this terminus of Church age, the saints that submit to the education of the Holy Spirit will have their love perfected (matured) to demonstrate all the characters of divine nature (2 Pt. 1:2-4, 1 Cor. 13:4-7, 1 Jn. 4:17-18).   Therefore, the golden hearted exhibit patient-endurance and kindness (exhibition of usefulness to others), admiration instead of envy; is neither boastful nor haughty (arrogantly superior and disdainful).   Such are not arrogant and inflated with pride, nor rude (unmannerly) and don’t act unbecomingly. They don’t insist on their own rights or own ways as they are not self-seeking. They are not touchy or resentful. They don’t take into account the evil done to them or pay attention to the wrong suffered. They don’t rejoice at injustice or unrighteousness but rejoice when right and truth prevail.   They bear and cover up all weights put on them; they don’t suspect everybody but are rather inclined to trust people, possess unfading hope, and endure everything (without weakening).   Such a person as King Saul was golden-hearted until self-conceit arose (1 Sam. 9:20-21, 11:1-7, 12-13). God-loving men like Obadiah and Nehemiah could not condone the oppression of the weak and less privileged (1 Kgs. 18:13, Neh. 5:1-13); Boaz and Joseph, the husband of Mary, are golden-hearted (Ruth 2:2-5, Matt. 1:18-20).   It is time to demonstrate that one has left the camp of selfishness, crudity, stubbornness, envy and jealousy, irritability, boastfulness and pride to the camp of divine love.   Such love-filled hearts are golden hearts.   Can a needy person request an inflow of divine love into his heart through fervent prayers? (Jas. 5:16, 2 Pt. 1:5-7).
