TIME TO THRASH THE TERRIBLE – 2021 FIRST FRUIT FASTING EXERCISE (Day 21 Outline)

Text: Dan. 10:1-13, 19-21 Welcome to the last day of the exercise/feast. It has been a period of spectacular grace and superlative experiences. Today, the Lord is launching you into another dimension of your calling. Our text pertains to the spiritual dynamics that played out as Daniel sought God’s face with fasting on an issue bothering him – he needed an information. A majestic messenger of the Most High on a divine assignment was waylaid by some spiritual scoundrels – the prince and kings of Persia; and withstood for 21 days until Michael the warrior was sent to change/tilt the equilibrium. After the majestic minister of information had delivered his content, he informed that he was returning to thrash (beat thoroughly and conclusively) the terrible: scoundrels viz Prince (sar-meaning: Head person, leader, or commander), kings (melek pronounced meh’lek – royal, king) of the territory of Persia. My exhortation shall cover synopsis of spiritual scoundrels, Assistance of angels, Generation of giant crushers, Power in Plurality, Returning to root out the rebel. (A) SYNOPSIS OF SPIRITUAL SCOUNDRELS These were glorious angels of God that rebelled with Lucifer (Rev.12:3,4). They are of different ranks (Eph.6:12; Col.1:16). They are extremely evil and hate man with perfect hatred. Their power and wisdom were not taken from them, hence their ability to temporarily resist holy angels sent to deliver packages to MEN. So their occupation is to resist good things going to men… They are distributed in territories all over the globe – air, sea, forest, market places, cemeteries, street, city, LGA, state, nation etc. They can possess terrestrial creature and influence events through manipulation of natural forces. We need not worry about their description but ready to do what is required of us by the Captain of our salvation. (B) ASSISTANCE OF ANGELS Two-Thirds of the angels of God remained loyal, and are available for assistance to minister to men (Heb.1:13,14). They are citizens of heaven as we are; and servants of God as we are (Heb.12:22,23; Rev.19:10). They are superior in nature to man and so are at the Lord’s command (Heb.2:7; Mt.26:53). The Lord sends them on errands to attend to His people (2Kgs6:15-17; Ps.34:7; LK.1:26; Acts 5:19, 12:1-8). They don’t take instructions from men but are available to assist. (C) GENERATION OF GIANT CRUSHERS The children of Israel (prince of God) were processed through their wilderness experience to be destroyers of the giant races of the Canaan land (Deut.8:1-3, 4:37-38, 2:24-25). And a little later, David and his men crushed the remnant of the giants at Philistia (2Sam.21:16-22). We, Watchmen, have been processed through the wilderness experience to be giant-crushers. This is the time of crushing the giants on your way. (D) POWER IN PLURALTY In both the physical and spiritual realms, the principles of ‘two-are-better-than-one’ holds because of the formation of a three-fold cord (Eccl.4:9,12; Dan.10:13,21). The believer is expected to employ it whenever there is a perception of an opposition as the Lord Jesus did (Lk.10:1, Matt.18:18-19). Be ready to employ the contribution of some other disciple in your warfare. (E) RETURNING TO ROOT OUT THE REBEL The angel Gabriel, having delivered his primary assignment (to Daniel) informed that he was returning to take out the commander of the villians holding the celestial space over Persia. That will mark the end of the Persian Empire, and the beginning of the Grecian Empire. As we return from the 21 days exercise with the power of the Lord, let us take down every opposition that has hitherto withstood us. *Let us deploy the nuggets released during the program. *Let us employ hands to assist – send prayer request to disciples. *The weapons of our warfare are not carnal. Faith, Word, Wisdom, etc Our fight is a good fight, and so victory is sure. The erstwhile giant will be grounded, and the rebel will be rooted out.
